If you check out our testimonials page, you can see the children who come on our courses are full of praise for the sessions we put on – with some parents saying their sons and daughters were ‘enthralled’ by the whole experience and couldn’t wait for the next course. So what makes us so special?
Our Professional Qualifications
Our youth football coaches, who are based in London, all have FA-recognised qualifications (FA Level 1 and 2 courses both have a mix of theory and practical) and our founder, Mark Drane, has a UEFA B licence.
We also have excellent contacts within the professional game so if your child shows real promise we may be able to help their pathway if they are interested in taking up the sport full-time.
And from a safety perspective, all our staff are insured, DBS checked, trained in child protection, and Emergency First Aid. On certain occasions eg 1-1 coaching sessions we insist that a parent or guardian is on hand, in line with the FA’s best practice regulations.
It Dovetails with School and Club Coaching
At SoccerKidz we always make sure that our training sessions are complementary to any other coaching that your son or daughter may be having – whether that’s in a club setting or at school.
We also offer PPA cover, in Enfield and further afield, so we can run their school’s timetabled PE activities for a period of time. We can also run extra-curricular activities such as breakfast, lunchtime and evening sessions at your child’s school.
If your son or daughter is more advanced than some of their peer group, then we may recommend some 1-to-1 coaching. We have also developed our own four-tier pathway which could end up with your child joining a professional club if they show sufficient promise and have the right attitude of wanting to improve and succeed.
We Always Look on the Positive Side
We make sure that all our sessions are fun and enjoyable and that everyone gets something out of them. Any feedback we offer will always be constructive and aimed at making them a better player. This applies to all our sessions (not necessarily just football) as we also offer some multisport activities after school as well as at special events, such as school open days, where we help run a one-off session in a variety of sports.
They Are for a Variety of Ages and Abilities
It doesn’t matter what skill level your son or daughter has – we cater for children no matter their ability level (and hopefully improve it by the end of the course). As a result, our courses are suitable for children as young as three and a half all the way up to 14 years old.
We set team-related goals as well as individual ones so more able players can see the benefit of working with and encouraging less skilled individuals. And everyone gets a solid grounding in the basic skills of the game.
