SoccerKidz has been a life long ambition of co-founders David Livermore and Mark Drane, who are life long friends and whose friendship goes back to the mid 80s. They have lived less than a mile away from each for almost their entire lives and attended both primary and secondary school together. Their football coaching and managing skills were first honed at primary school when they were put in charge of team selections by their headmaster. Throughout the early school years of their lives Mark & David also played for the same grassroots team Edmonton Rangers. Although their careers have taken different routes they have continued to succeed. David became a professional footballer, making over 400 professional career appearances, which includes the accolade of a F.A Cup final appearance against Manchester United in 2004. David has since moved onto coaching in the professional game, leaving SoccerKidz to manage at Histon FC before moving to Millwall as their u18s coach and is now the assistant manager of their first team. Mark has been coaching since 2000, which includes coaching in America, coaching and scouting for Crystal Palace Fc in their north London development centre, coaching for Barnet Fc in their youth development phase and running his own soccer coaching company for 5 years before starting up SoccerKidz
Further information for parents
You should bring Kit which includes t-shirt, shorts, socks, tracksuit, wet top, boots, trainers, shin pads and a drinks bottle. Please try and wear-in your boots before visiting the school. Some new boots can often give you very sore feet. Molded studs / blades are probably more suitable for our summer time courses. Please ensure that all belongings are named including boots and shin pads, many children will possess the same replica shirts and boots and this will help if they get lost.
We will play in light rain or showers, if it is heavy rain/thunder/lightning then we cannot play and therefore the session will be cancelled. If you are unsure if your session will be running, you can phone your course SoccerKidz coach. If you have not received a telephone call, and there is no update on the website, it is assumed you should travel to the field where a decision will be made on site. If it is not physically possible to make up extra missed sessions, within the allotted time for the course, no refund will be offered.
